Meredith Anne Kitts originally joined the CA family in the early 1980′s when she was a member of the school’s first 1st grade class. She and her brother, Zachary Hattle, were students at CA through 1988, and her parents served on the Discipline Committee and her mother was the School Nurse. Meredith and her husband, Gerrit Kitts, returned “home” to CA in the fall of 2012 when their daughter, Anneka, started Pre-K with Mrs. Jones. This year, Anneka is in 1st grade and Meredith, with Gerrit’s assistance, has taken on the role to lead the Parent Association for the 2014-2015 school year.
Meredith is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and was recently promoted to Development Director at New Directions Career Center. In her spare time, Meredith enjoys reading and gardening. Travel is a life-long passion that started with her trip to Mexico with Señora Brown and the 7th and 8th grade classes at CA, and has taken her to Germany, Austria, Italy, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan. In addition to working, Anneka and the family dog, Porter, help to keep the Kitts’ household full of excitement!
