Clintonville Academy staff and faculty members are certified and experienced teachers committed to providing only the best in academics. We seek only professionals looking for a long-term relationship with a school that believes in teaching the whole child. Individuals are hired on the basis of professional achievement, course-related skills and enthusiasm. As a result, many staff members have been at the school ten years or longer.

Sally Q. Lindsay
Director of Clintonville Academy
Mrs. Lindsay joined C.A. in 1988 as Director. Her background as a middle school language arts teacher and her administrative experience from her family’s business gave her the balance needed for running the school.
Sally enjoys reading, gardening and working outdoors at her home in the country. Her favorite time is spent with her grandchildren and family. Between goats, chickens, dogs and loving her work at Clintonville Academy, there is seldom a dull moment in the Lindsay family life!
What I like best about Clintonville Academy is the devotion to student success that all our teachers exhibit. We have a lot of fun while maintaining the highest quality programming in our nurturing environment. Personalizing education and meeting the needs of each child makes C.A. the best choice for learners.
Accounting and Billing
Office & Communications Coordinator
One of the things I like most about Clintonville Academy is the inclusion of the parents, and often grandparents, in the school. It cannot be overstated how important it is for parents to be involved in their child’s education – Clintonville Academy takes that a step further. Our parents handle the typical school jobs such as organizing fundraisers, monitoring the lunchroom and helping in the office. But we also develop and manage a marketing plan, handle all the landscaping needs, clean and provide maintenance of the building and much, much more. This work not only promotes a sense of ownership for the parents, it provides a good example of work ethic for the children.
President, CA Parent’s Association
Meredith Anne Kitts originally joined the CA family in the early 1980′s when she was a member of the school’s first 1st grade class. She and her brother, Zachary Hattle, were students at CA through 1988, and her parents served on the Discipline Committee and her mother was the School Nurse. Meredith and her husband, Gerrit Kitts, returned “home” to CA in the fall of 2012 when their daughter, Anneka, started Pre-K with Mrs. Jones. This year, Anneka is in 1st grade and Meredith, with Gerrit’s assistance, has taken on the role to lead the Parent Association for the 2014-2015 school year.
Meredith is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and was recently promoted to Development Director at New Directions Career Center. She joined the staff there in November 2006, first as a part-time administrative assistant, working her way up through Operations Manager to her current position. As Operations Manager she had internal fiscal responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the organization, sat on the Finance Committee, and works directly with the Contract CPA to produce monthly financials statements, complete the annual audit and IRS Form 990. In her current role, Meredith is the lead organizational fundraiser and main contact with donors and grantors of the organization, serving in conjunction with the Executive Director to develop a funding plan that includes budgeting and grant writing.
In her spare time, Meredith enjoys reading and gardening. Travel is a life-long passion that started with her trip to Mexico with Señora Brown and the 7th and 8th grade classes at CA, and has taken her to Germany, Austria, Italy, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan. In addition to working, Anneka and the family dog, Porter, help to keep the Kitts’ household full of excitement!
I love working at Clintonville Academy for many reasons including the excellent professional and dedicated staff, the interaction of the parents and teachers, and the caring and nurturing atmosphere of the school. If feel that the students at CA are definitely prepared for high school and life. This is my 48th year in education and I can’t think of a better place to work.
